Feyrex is a dragon from the mobile game series, Dragon Village.

But for this particular version, here's the scenario I wrote along this piece (based on Feyrex's backstory in DV):

Feyrex's story happened in a desolate land, where nature is dying. The fairies there found Feyrex's egg, and prayed for a savior, one who can revive the land.

Thus Feyrex was born, with the power to restore nature and breathing life back to the land. He made it his life mission to restore nature everywhere.

Let's just say during his mission, you befriended him (or became his tamer, even if you ended up being dragged around by him to do his mission, and not the other way around).

However, the World Tree itself was dying. Feyrex can save the tree, but he'll have to use all of his life force, and unsurprisingly, Feyrex is completely willing to make this sacrifice.

As much as you hate the plan, Feyrex is determined and foolhardy. You know better than trying to stop him. (Or you did try, to no avail.) In the end, you don't really have a choice but to support him in his endeavor...

But you're determined too. As Feyrex poured all his life and power, you poured yours into Feyrex. This shocked him. He turned back and looked at you-- You're endangering your own life too!

That's when you tell him that, while Feyrex has his own life mission of reviving the lands, you have your own desire/mission to save your beloved dragon. This is YOUR desire, and just as Feyrex won't yield to anyone or anything in his mission, neither will you.

Sensing your resolution as well, Feyrex nodded, faced the World Tree once more, and continued-- using all of his power to revive the World Tree. And before Feyrex could perish, you used your own power/spell to stabilize Feyrex, even if it meant draining from your own life pool.

In the end you both succeeded. Feyrex revived the World Tree, and you kept Feyrex alive.

Although this feat took a toll out of Feyrex, as he basically transferred away all his power. He can no longer revive nature-- though not that he need to, since the World Tree will take care of that.

While the fairies celebrated the World Tree's revival (many of them were willing to just let Feyrex self-destruct in exchange for saving the World Tree), you scooped up your little pinkish dragon and hugged him lovingly.

Even if the others don't need him anymore, you still want him. You didn't love him for his power after all.

Feyrex smiled at you. Maybe someday he'll recover enough, so that he can help nature again. But for now, he has a new life mission. Wrapping his little arms around your neck, he lifted himself and kissed you on your cheek.
