# Pine and Rosy Trying Each Other's Poop

This image was done as a commission by the lovely [MissEus](https://derpibooru.org/profiles/Eustakia%2BPuchero). Thank you so much for drawing it for me!

Despite Pine Thunderoak being a pony and Rosy Stripetail being a skunk, the love they have for one another is truly unmatched. It's so strong that it could keep a changeling fed for an entire lifetime. Pine and Rosy also have a shared interest in smelly stuff, which means they typically show their love in very unconventional ways that others might find kind of gross. A wise person once said, "How can you say you love her if you can't even eat her poop?", and it seems the pegasus and skunk couple take that quote to heart, because they do in fact eat each other's poop.

Pine and Rosy will often be spending some quality romantic time together, when one of the lovebirds, if not both of them, will suddenly feel the urge to take a dump. Unless they're in a location that requires them to be more civilized, they'll shamelessly spread their back legs, raise their tails, and let all of that poop come squeezing out of their buttholes onto the ground below.

Rosy's dung comes out in big logs, usually accompanied by a few smaller nuggets. She also has a more omnivorous diet than Pine which, combined with her smelly nature of being a skunk, gives her excrement a very fierce and pungent scent.

On the other hand, Pine's turds are the traditional horseapples that all ponies do, molded into tightly packed balls similar to those a dung beetle would form. They're pretty stinky as well, but unlike the wilder stench of Rosy's droppings, the ones done by the pegasus have a fresher, more farm animal-like odor to them. And since horses produce around 50 pounds of manure a day, it goes without saying that Pine can create some rather big piles, with some of them being as large as Rosy.

Of course, that's not to say the pony and skunk's feces don't have some things in common. They share a rich chocolatey brown color, contain all sorts of undigested food particles (sometimes even the same food, like corn and grass for instance), and while they have fairly distinct smells, they're both really intense and powerful smells that attract flies like crazy.

After one of the lovers is finished doing their business, the other will sometimes have what they left behind as a snack. Nothing wrong with turning your partner's former meal into a meal of your own, right? At least, Pine and Rosy don't see anything wrong with it.

Rosy will pick up one of Pine's horseapples from the big pile he did and hold it in her paws, munching on the turd in a similar manner to how a squirrel would eat a nut. Her pony boyfriend's waste has a tangy earthiness to it that she just loves, along with a sharp bitter flavor reminiscent of wilted spinach leaves. The texture is also very soft and granular, making it easy for Rosy to chew and frequently resulting in her getting bits of hay stuck between her fangs.

As for Pine, he'll lower his head down to his skunk girlfriend's log and take a large full-mouthed bite out of it. Thanks to the combination of meat and plants that Rosy eats, her poop has a deep flavor profile that really excites Pine's tastebuds. It's a bit spicier than his own droppings, and very sour, with some unique savory notes mixed in for good measure. The pegasus can even taste a hint of Rosy's skunk musk, reminding him that his special somepony is literally sharing a part of herself with him. In terms of the dung's texture, it starts out firm and chewy like a nice piece of fudge, but gradually becomes creamier the more Pine grinds it up in his mouth. The creaminess is occasionally interrupted by his teeth bursting into a kernel of corn or crunching into an insect that didn't get digested all the way, giving the feces a consistency not unlike chunky peanut butter.

It's ironic that Pine and Rosy's poop attract so many flies, because with how much the couple enjoys each other's doo-doo, they sometimes wonder if they were flies in a past life. Not only does it taste deliciously foul to them, but it's also a shared symbol of their everlasting love. Something to let the other one know "I love you so much that I'd do anything for you, including consuming your waste products and enjoying every bite of them."

FUN FACT: The hollowed-out log in the background of this image is actually Rosy's home. It's been a very nice place for her to live over the years, but she's thinking about moving in with Pine. The pegasus has a wonderful home in Cloudsdale that would be just perfect for her, though she'd have to get a unicorn to cast a spell on her so she could walk on clouds.
