Also his character was amazing, a wise dragon lord but still being the funny dragon he is, although it's a shame he fell so quickly under Opaline's spell, he could had used go against the alicorn who made Twilight's kingdom fell a bit more
[@Background Pony \#5F51](/images/3771634#comment_11438433) I don't know. I personally didn't mind his appearance in The Last Problem at all unlike some. Partly because its funny seeing cute little Spike grow up into the buff gigachad he always imagined being. But also because we know that's not even going to be his final stage as a dragon as it is his equivalent of being in his late teens in dragon years. He'll begin looking more like a typical dragon like the other adult dragons we've seen do like Torch around his 200s probably. But as for his G5 design....while I don't despise it like some the dragons in G5 look too generic is the problem. They pretty much all look the same except for different colors. And Spike's face in G5 looks especially off. Maybe its the 3D art style.
[@ShuckU](/images/3771634#comment_11438422) I agree. He looked more like a dragon in G5 than in the G4 finale. Heck, I even find his Spikezilla form to be better than his finale form.
Hot take: I like Spike's G5 design more than his design from The Last Problem. All it needed was some added bulk and to have him be *way* bigger than the other dragons The Gigachad Spike memes were funny and all, but that design always looked off to me
