Polar bear skin is black, but its hairs are hollow tubes that allow the sunlight to pass through, and the black skin helps absorb as much heat as possible. The hollow hair tubes also scatter light to appear white, but their fur can also appear yellow or brown due to age or sun damage I will be back next week with another fun animal fact [/quote] Bonus fact: The Earth's magnetic field is shifting; in fact, the Earth's magnetic field has shifted several times already, most recently 780,000 years ago, and there are currently signs of the magnetic field weakening, indicating that the next shift is imminent.

Alright folks, take your bets how long until literally anyone notices, or if no one notices at all! Starting bet is 2 pages!

I hope he put it in for real this time

Space fact of the week: Mars' two moons Phobos and Deimos are both very odd, not only in their lopsided shapes, but also in their orbits. Phobos orbits Mars once every 7 hours, 39 minutes, and 12 seconds. This is much faster than Mars itself rotates, which means you would be able to see Phobos multiple times in one day, it would be a little under half the size of our moon in Mars' sky. Phobos is also the closest moon to its parent planet, getting ~9,234.42km (~5,738mi) from the surface at its closest. Deimos takes around 30.4 hours to go around Mars, and is the smaller of the two, with Phobos being just shy of twice its size. In the Martian sky, Deimos would appear as a tiny speck, barely noticeable. Phobos is slowly drifting towards Mars, and it is predicted to be broken up by the planet and form a thin ring system sometime in the next 70 million years. Deimos, however, is slowly leaving Mars, expected to leave the orange (NOT red) planet's sphere of influence in around 40 million years.

He's getting bigger now >:3
