On the week following Halloween, with their hard earned hauls of sweet plunder diminishing by the day, these two met in the park one afternoon to pool and trade what remained of their candy caches. As they sat and took inventory of what sweet treasures remained to them, they discovered, buried in Tuxley's bag of remaining candy, a single strawberry lollipop. Tuxley, knowing how much Lyra liked strawberry offered it to her without hesitation. But, the two of them having grown quite close over the past few months, he wasn't going to let her get it without a little bit of playful teasing. He pulled the wrapper off and held it out in front of her. Lyra responded by sticking out her tongue in anticipation. He's going to let her have it of course, but the trajectory it takes on its way to her is anyone's guess. It might be a few licks shy of a full lollipop by the time she gets it.

As with a lot of my images, this turned out pretty differently from how the image in my head looked when I first thought of the idea. I pictured an image of the two of them sitting and trading candy back and forth. The image I ended up with was a bit more playful, but I think it's a fun and cute little moment.

I did a lot of layering for this image and changed a couple things. Lyra's tongue wasn't out initially, but I think it added to the playfulness. I also did some detail inpainting on both their faces, Tux's hand with the lollipop, and the bag of candy on the left. This image might have been a new personal record for number of layers and inpainting I did. As always, all the prompts for the base image and all the layers are in the text file.
