Nina was both concerned and in awe of her brother. She struggled so hard in school while growing up in Talkar. There were several topics that she excelled at, but there were a few she stumbled in hard. However, this was not the case with Michael. It seemed he had no issues acing all his tests and smashing every known record in grades, and it didn't even seem like he was even trying. He wouldn't dress up in proper attire, wouldn't study, seemed to daydream in class, got distracted by books on his insect fascination and just plain didn't care. At least, that's how it appeared to Nina. His grades said otherwise though. He was a gifted student. It's just that school was boring for him. It wasn't challenging and it wasn't interesting. He felt he could be doing better things with his time.
