[i]The unspoken agreement is simple. All the little ones in Primm know what to do when they get caught by the Sheriff. They've clearly discussed it among themselves, too: whenever they break the law, like clockwork, one of them always lets himself be caught. And it's never the same as last week, they're on some sort of rotation.

You don't have to run after them, one of them just stand there, right at the scene of the crime: one handful of stolen vegetables at their feet, or a bucket of paint next to the vandalized wall.

After all, the punishment isn't so bad: one week with you in jail, tending to your needs. They come out a little damaged, gaping and leaking your warmth on the fur of their legs, but nothing that won't heal in time.

Above all, they've learned to be quiet about it. It wouldn't do to have sounds of pain and elation coming out of the jail cell every night. All of them, except this one kid: a little fox kit, who just joined in with the club of young troublemakers, unaware of the town's unwritten law. They keep forcing him to get caught, sometimes tying him down for you to find after the rest of them run away. For the fourth week in a row now, he's spending time with you in his cell. Are they hazing him? Or do they just want you to break him in, teach him the ropes?

He's quite loud and unwilling, so you have to use the equipment you usually reserve for biters. But that in itself has a lot of benefit: seeing him tied down and unable to move at all makes you quite excited and full of vigor. You hope it takes him a while longer to become docile, you've never had so much endurance as you've shown to this little kit![/i]
