Spring didn’t just arrive… it walked in wearing blossoms🌷If temptation had a season, it’d look exactly like this.

This is Spirit of Spring, a commissioned character design created for lovely lykosthebes lykosthebes from 2023~

For me it's gentle, blooming, and full of life.

I chose the rabbit as the basis for the design because rabbits became associated with spring due to their natural fertility, which was associated with the awakening of life after winter. In ancient times, the rabbit was the companion of the pagan goddess of spring, Eostre. In pagan traditions, the rabbit was the companion of the goddess Eostre, the deity of dawn and rebirth which later evolved into the Easter symbol we know today🐇

I chose the first butterflies and swallows as his symbols (since the return of these birds from the south is a natural sign of spring’s arrival), along with some of the earliest spring flowers( phlox and lilies of the valley). His design combines flowing, semi-transparent fabric, a wreath of flowers, budding twigs on his horns, and blossoms woven into his braid🌸

This is a reminder that design is storytelling and every detail can bloom with meaning.
