She saw the advertisement during a late night sting on the rooftops. BPM. A new gym that seemed to be getting aggressive with their ad campaign, as there seemed to be one every few blocks. A blonde bunny giving the victory symbol with her hands and a classic 'duck face' that was all the rage on trending media. It was suspicious because the last few weeks, Stormwave was experiencing Deja Vu. This bunny seemed to be everywhere. At the mall, in the store where Stormy bought her groceries, even once or twice out in the park doing her jog.
Trailing her always led her back to the gym. Opaque windows showing the silhouettes of other bunnies in the gym prevented her from getting close. She couldn't put her finger on it, but it didn't sit right with her. There was something about the pervasiveness of the ads, the constant coincidental meetups, the completely vapid expression on that bunny's face that indicated no one ever bothered to install lights behind those eyes. But if they did, it would likely be a nauseating hot pink.
Stormwave called up her colleague, DuraBelle, to ask about the BPM gym. But instead of feeling any kind of reassured, she was doubly suspicious when Durabelle said nothing but praises about the place.
"Oh it's the best! There's enough treadmills so you can always find one available, the weights are well kept, and they even have back rooms for saunas and other stuff. They even give you free workout files if you can't get to the gym all the time. I listen to them while I'm doing my morning jog!"
Workout files? did she mean music tracks? And since when did DuraBelle even work out? That alone forced Stormy to subtly convince her friend to lend her the audio files and give them a test for herself.
She installed the 300 MB (goddamn) worth of audio and started the first track. It was exactly what she expected. Thumping EDM, but paired with the beeping of treadmills starting up. A voice slipped through the beat.
"Let's stretch our legs~"
"Dim bunny. Dum bunny."
The file ran as Stormwave went out on her morning job. It was annoying, at first, but the endless thumping seemed to come perfectly in time with her steps. Or was she running with the music? One way or another, it felt like one was guiding the other. Bump bump, stretch her legs. She paused at a park bench and lifted one leg up, stretching it out to work every kink. She couldn't even feel the tiredness yet as her body continued to fight against laziness.
She even continued after the first listen, letting it loop. Wasn't she supposed to just hear it once and... stop? What was going on?
"Dim bunny. Dum bunny~"
Those words echoed in her mind as she kept going, not even noticing that she was joining the rabbits on the street. Everything just turned into this super cute pink haze, from inside her mind to out, and she was happily bouncing along. The compulsions inside of her mind were already developing into something worrying, yet she wasn't able to stop herself from following them. Even if she thought that she should pause and try to dissect this file, she couldn't prevent herself from acknowledging that she must be a DIM BUNNY for listening this far! If she tried to stop running, she just imagined how super ultra cute she'd look as a gym bunny.
Stormwave didn't notice her tail shortening to a soft little spade, or her hair turning into a tall ponytail. The green colors she was so proud of leeched out into nothingness, leaving just the golden sheen behind. Then her bust followed its bimbofied suit, getting so big and round and bouncy. Like she was just eyec andy! By the time her outfit finished adjusting to the incessant beats, she was already heading towards the place all of the music led her to; BPM.
Bunnies Per Minute. The gym bunnies were all, like, bunnies, right?
"It's almost like..." Plink! Her eyes turned as pink as her thoughts, "I'm a gym bunny!"
And in she bounced, giggling brightly with some words about "Let's stretch our legs~"
