My second experiment in sci-fi art based on abstract shapes after the original Alien Shapes started as a very quick scribble of a few shapes before I went to bed one night, followed by slight edits to those same shapes right before I went to work the next morning, and finally transforming them within two hours of me coming home into an alien and their child taking in the sights from space. That I gave myself even less to work with for this one than I did the first time around goes to show that when it comes down to it, we, with our ability to imagine, are vastly superior to ocean-boiling genAI algorithms at creating art from nothing.
