Lore nugget: Sapphie's mother was actually the eal influence on Sapphie's decision to escape. After passing away, Sapphie maintained her duties until coming across her mother's left behind research, which shows she knew that the world outside of Gospel was real, and not just a fantasy. The mother did leave informaion on how to get out of the city, get to the outside world, but that is all there was to go by.
