The first serious adventure arc in the [[Mickey Mouse]] comic strip, which artist [[Floyd Gottfredson]] took over partway through, starting a long tenure that lasted until 1975.  This arc also introduces in comic form two of Mickey's enemies: career criminal and archnemesis [[Peg-Leg Pete]] (who is more muscular and has a tail compared to his later, better known appearance) and crooked lawyer [[Sylvester Shyster]].
