Junie Deer is Jhon’s polar opposite in almost every way—small, quiet, and way too smart for her age. She’s the kind of kid who corrects your grammar [i]and[/i] your math, then apologizes for being “a know-it-all” with a shy little smile.
She wears oversized glasses that constantly slide down her nose, a backpack twice her size, and has shiny braces that make her self-conscious when she smiles (though it’s adorable). She prefers books over sports and spends most of her time in the library, coding, reading fantasy novels, or tinkering with little inventions.
Despite being younger, she often ends up acting like the older sibling—reminding Jhon of appointments, helping him study (or do his homework [i]for[/i] him), and smoothing things over when he causes trouble. He’s extremely protective of her, though he pretends not to be.
People say she’ll grow into a real beauty someday, but right now she’s just focused on being the smartest deer in school—and maybe writing her own sci-fi novel before she hits 15.
