It was a chaotic blur between then and now. Sliding down her throat felt like more of the party, but once Monitor sobered up it became a lot less fun. The stomach didn't have any respect for his comfort, and most of the night was spent keeping his head above the sloshy mess he was immersed in. When it finally died down, the stench of partially digested pizza was no match for his tiredness.
Another shift in his environment finally stirred the lizard. Monitor's heartbeat thudded against the inside of his skull, as hers beat against the still-churning stomach walls. Water... he needed water. His mind still wasn't the most clear, but he figured his host was probably walking to her kitchen.
"Hey, could I have some wa-"
Distant gulping sounds combined with the opening of the esophagus, pouring scalding coffee onto Monitor's face. It was going to be a long day.
