In order to advance to the next area, Vergil must use a sacred orb called Luck of Fortuna. But it is known that whoever holds it gains better speed, stamina, and height when they jump, yet for all of those they also go through an interesting transformation to a form that can use such abilities.

It will take a bit for Vergil to get used to such a form but it should help him pass the heavily obstructed area.
