This began as a wish-fulfillment piece, as it represents an ideal take on my kind of furry world. A world where "naturism" represents more than just being nude - it's an embrace of the natural world without abandoning the strides we've made to understand it. Fur replaces the need for clothing, which is now more or less decoration, and the beauty of nature is as greatly respected as the technology we develop to ensure that nature is not encroached upon with the reckless abandon of our ancestors. Petty squabbles about the differences between species, sexes, etc. are ignored, and instead an individual's own merits are what their peers value. Plus there's a little bit of otherworldly/spiritual magic, just to make things a little more glowy ^_^ Hey, it IS my fantasy, after all. You can see tribal-style aesthetics in their ornamentation, the carefree liberation of casual nudity, the technology of Ael's smartphone and Melon's holo-cuff, and the tiny little glowing sprites flitting all around them. So yes, nature's majesty without the rejection of technology, a deeper connection to the world and all that inhabit it. I guess it's a form of Solarpunk, in a way? Regardless, it's a world that birthed a brand new story setting that I've been having a lot of fun with lately. Lots more to come!
