I used to be super sensitive but over the years I got hit real hard with reality and now just don't really feel. I wouldn't hurt my plushes though. They got me through some really rough patches and I do love them. Writing this makes me realise how much I actually changed in 4 years. Great art Poofy, but you got me good.

Never thought I'd be so sobered by art of a Pokémon plush, but here we are. Speaking of which, how did I even get here? [/quote] I loveeee comments like this thank uuuu! Im really really glad I can make art that gets you to think :D I would like to note that MOST of the things I draw are SUPER over exaggerated if you think about them. I would think of my art as more like vague gestures towards the direction of reality, rather than an accurate depiction of "What would happen in reality if pokemon were real." Though I do not deny that the stuff I draw COULD happen in reality or possibly HAS happened before, but these things ACTUALLY happening at the severity that I draw them is VERY rare. Like most of the stuff I draw would be INSTANT news headline type stuff, just because of how uncommonly it happens. I dont think MOST peoples reaction to a real sentient teddy bear would be to grab a knife and obliterate it, most people would be VERY confused, and probably initially scared, and probably start asking alot of questions and trying to show other people to verify sanity and get second opinions on why this is possible. And if all reasonable explanations are exhausted (Person messing with you with a bluetooth voicebox, hallucinations, general insanity, other people being able to hear it) then you'd move on to considering magical implications like religion, magic, a different understanding of reality and of what is alive. Call the police and show them, have it be taken away to be studied, or keep it a secret because your the kind of person that does not think about things much and does not care that magic MIGHT be real and are just happy to have a teddy bear friend, or your a type of person that already has the default assumption that magic is real (hardcore Wiccan, or Witch) and you just accept it being alive as totally fine and normal, and just dont make a big deal of it or show anybody else (talking to your other witch friends about how cool your talking doll is and excusing why its existence through "Oh it must be my familliar!." Idk witchcraft practices.) Or your a child that has no idea that talking teddy bears are weird and abnormal, maybe your a religiously raised child that belives it to be a demon, or an angel, or god (they all act in basically indistinguishable ways, like how do you actually tell the difference between an angel and a demon lying about being an angel? Would the christian god get pissy with you for being tricked by a lying demon??) All of these options are MUCH more realistic than being the sort of person that has an instant violent response to something that you dont understand happening. That COULD be what happens, but it would be VERY rare, to the point of being an unrealistic response. You would probably be scared of it when it happens, and maybe if you were holding it you would get scared and throw it across the room, but after the initial shock, every option other than immediately stabbing and killing would be much more realistic response. Especially if its ONLY talking to you and seemingly not posing an immediate threat to your safety. If it got up like a toy story character and started running around, THAT would be VERY scary, would be like having a paranormal raccoon running around your room and talking like a human. That would be run out of the house and call the police kind of response, depending on your level of curiosity. (side tangent. Alot of people that believe that ghosts are ACTUALLY real, are usually people that already believe in magic, or have the default response to things that they themselves cant explain being magic, and once you truly believe in ghosts you can just start justifying mundane happenings or weird "scary" sounds at night being "Just the ghosts hanging out." Once you are convinced that a magic system is real, it becomes apart of your logic process, a kitchen cupboard slowly drifting open at night must be ghosts, and not that part of the house being slightly tilted due to shoddy construction. A room in a house that is consistently colder than the other rooms in the house must be where the ghost haunts or lives or died in. And is not just a problem with bad window insulation. Now your heat bill is going to be forever higher because that room "Just has a ghost living in it and the ghost hunters/priest I payed for could not properly excise the ghost!" instead of identifying the real problem. All thought processes becomes MUCH easier when half of your problems can be attributed to a vague ghost thing instead of a real problem that needs deeper thought and investigation to solve.) (Side side tangent story I remembered while writing about the angel demon stuff, I used to totally believe that I had a cool guardian angel that I would basically treat as an invisible friend, and I would get upset at him for not responding to me whenever I would try to talk to him. And try to play on the playground with him on the seesaw and then get upset when he would not appear to play with me on the seesaw.)

There's a painful sense of reality that underscores this idea, as it does much of the rest of your portfolio, too, Poofy. There's a grim sort of contemplation that can be had in the contrast between a fantastical idea and a response that is all too true to life's less savory natures, I suppose. Never thought I'd be so sobered by art of a Pokémon plush, but here we are. Speaking of which, how did I even get here?

Hmm, that makes me think of ones fursuit coming to life o.o

I'd probably feel more bad for it than anything, poor thing doesn't deserve to live with me of all people

I mean, I'd probably yeet it at the wall and let out a comedically high-pitched scream, but I don't think I'd go this far.

Poor thing, why kill it?

This image causes a profoundly deep sense of sadness...
