Behold, the Wretched Wilderness! To most, it is a place far off the beaten path that should be avoided at all costs. Brimming with monsters and other abominations of the deep, anyone that sets foot in its maws is sure to meet an unfortunate end. Unless, of course, they come well-equipped for the trials ahead. Despite the imminent dangers held within, it is abundant with rare resources and flora, such as the vibrant Fellderonymus trees and crisp golden-orange Crownrose bushes. It is a shrouded forest, hidden among the deepest depths of The Lands, with sunlight struggling its way through the thick foliage of the trees overhead. Some of its most dangerous creatures include the aptly-named Fellderonymus Prowlers, or Fell Prowlers for short. They are small, four-legged creatures made from the same leaves and flora as the immediate area around them. They can be immensely territorial should anyone or anything come near, which is precisely what leads us to The Lands Trio's encounter with the feisty bunch.

Zenchi, the straightforward head of the group, decided it would behoove the three of them to seek out some combat training with the creatures. It would provide valuable experience in teamwork and strategizing how to deal with more sporadic, aggressive enemy types. Or at least, that was the initial plan. Roseland agreed to the idea rather quickly, as it would allow her ample opportunity to flex her tactical muscle. Ithaca, on the other hand, had shown some reservations to the proposal. She'd been acting quite strangely on the journey over, and almost always appeared to be sweating like a madman. It wasn't a particularly hot or humid location, so why she seemed so exhausted was quite odd. The other two had an idea of what was going on, but Ithaca managed to pull herself together and go along with the mission. It wouldn't be long before she had to back out of their battle with the Fell Prowlers and seek emergency relief. She called out to her friends that she was "going to pick some rare berries she saw earlier" right in the middle of a scuffle. She withdrew unscathed, leaving the two attackers of the group stranded without a healer. The worn-out coyote found a small clearing in the woods and could bear the sensation no longer. Making quick work of her undergarments, nearly ripping them apart, she got down to the source of her frustration. "S-stupid heat! I can't focus on the battle like this!" She was burning up down there! Yes of course, it was inevitable that her womanly urges would get the best of her. Indeed, all three of the trio dealt with it in their own ways, but they chose to keep it private. But Ithaca's heat was truly something else. She looked around for something, any uniquely-proportioned objects to help satiate her, but it was to no avail. As she attempted to relieve herself, she could hear in the distance, "Ithaca!!! Where are you? We could really use some support over here!" Zenchi called out to her missing friend, clearly in need of some healing amidst their battle. While they needed healing, Ithaca needed something else entirely. "In a second, Chi-Chi! Gaaahhh...no Magic in the world could quell this heat..." One would think her healing Wind Magic would be able to help in some way, but that simply wasn't the case. Believe her, she tried. It would seem she would have to deal with it the old-fashioned way until it passed over...or she got some help.

I've been experimenting with lighting in the last few pieces, and I think they've been coming out quite nicely. I especially like the lighting in this one, what with Ithaca's shiny paws and overall "wet" aesthetic. Dare I say, them may be some of the best paws I've ever drawn.
