A few animated anecdotes about my silly business of ferrets using their brains for mischief.
Thanks for watching!

Buy them a treat on ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/williamsnekspeare

Music by Daniel Vilaire from Perplexing Bestiary: "/ @perplexingbestiary":https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIHXeRpUNIl6GZYkLwW2U_g

Sidenote:
I am currently weaning the ferrets onto kibble from their raw diet due to the current bird flu situation. I wish I could explain this to Princess, who thinks I am changing her food to be cruel to her for no reason. Best of luck to her in these trying times.

That’s adorable

I'm generally not a huge fan of this kind of tumblroid looking humans, but, damn. This animation is a clear exception. The fact that the little fluffy ferrets steal the show (in fucking spades) does help but mainly, the whole thing is just very very well done both from the technical POV and script-wise. That's really something.

Just discovered that channel on Youtube & gave it a sub after watching the only other video he have uploaded. Someone needs to upload that other video here as well, also very high in production quality with proper attention to detail along great body language & cute without being cringe.

I remember seeing this a bit back on youtube. Love meatslinkies

I'm an exception

Ferrets are incredibly smart and intelligent. Most mustelids are. Especially otters They aren't quite crow or parrot level. And most certainly not dolphin level. But they are much smarter and more intelligent than cats or dogs.

Love this one <3

What the fuck are you doing?!? Just literally download the stream and upload as is, both VP9 and AV1 streams work. If AV1 stream goes into WebM container, you can force it into MP4 instead with `--merge-output-format mp4`. 2. Premium stream is actually publicly available stream that's only hidden on the website itself, you can literally just check the streams yourself and see stream 616 and it's there (altough it's incorrectly labeled as MP4, even though it's VP9 which is WebM). 2a. Extra point, if you don't see premium stream, you can forward your cookies from browser with account that has premium subscription and it should show up. For e621, the youtube premium account is not much differend from e.g. needing account on Furaffinity to see explicit content. EDIT: also you mean to say, you have never, ever downloaded youtubes VP9 or AV1 streams and uploaded those and all of your past uploads are lower quality, bloated transcodes with handbrake?
Not, never downloaded direct WebM. I converted the video to MP4 via a conversion site then converted it to Webm with Handbrake.
"mairo":/users/38571 said: https://e621.net/news_updates https://e621.net/help/supported_filetypes But the funny thing with Youtube, is that the formats they server primarily are VP9 and AV1, secondary formats are h264 and then stuff like 3GP for old Nokia phones, also for 1080p videos, youtube has Premium quality stream that's always VP9 and technically only for youtube premium subscribers (but as for e621, this does not count as paid material as the paywall is by platform, not by the author of the work). So I checked this post that huh, 53.9MB AV1 MP4, that can't be right, so I check youtubes streams for this (expand for the code): [section=yt-dlp.exe -F https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7w8H3XfnETc]
Extracting URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7w8H3XfnETc 7w8H3XfnETc: Downloading webpage 7w8H3XfnETc: Downloading tv client config 7w8H3XfnETc: Downloading player 14cfd4c0-main 7w8H3XfnETc: Downloading tv player API JSON 7w8H3XfnETc: Downloading ios player API JSON 7w8H3XfnETc: Downloading m3u8 information [info] Available formats for 7w8H3XfnETc: ID EXT RESOLUTION FPS CH │ FILESIZE TBR PROTO │ VCODEC VBR ACODEC ABR ASR MORE INFO ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── sb3 mhtml 48x27 1 │ mhtml │ images storyboard sb2 mhtml 80x45 1 │ mhtml │ images storyboard sb1 mhtml 160x90 1 │ mhtml │ images storyboard sb0 mhtml 320x180 1 │ mhtml │ images storyboard 233 mp4 audio only │ m3u8 │ audio only unknown [en] Default, low 234 mp4 audio only │ m3u8 │ audio only unknown [en] Default, high 249-drc webm audio only 2 │ 1.00MiB 53k https │ audio only opus 53k 48k [en] low, DRC, webm_dash 250-drc webm audio only 2 │ 1.35MiB 71k https │ audio only opus 71k 48k [en] low, DRC, webm_dash 249 webm audio only 2 │ 1022.73KiB 53k https │ audio only opus 53k 48k [en] low, webm_dash 250 webm audio only 2 │ 1.34MiB 71k https │ audio only opus 71k 48k [en] low, webm_dash 140-drc m4a audio only 2 │ 2.46MiB 130k https │ audio only mp4a.40.2 130k 44k [en] medium, DRC, m4a_dash 251-drc webm audio only 2 │ 2.55MiB 134k https │ audio only opus 134k 48k [en] medium, DRC, webm_dash 140 m4a audio only 2 │ 2.46MiB 130k https │ audio only mp4a.40.2 130k 44k [en] medium, m4a_dash 251 webm audio only 2 │ 2.54MiB 134k https │ audio only opus 134k 48k [en] medium, webm_dash 602 mp4 256x144 12 │ ~ 1.49MiB 79k m3u8 │ vp09.00.10.08 79k video only 269 mp4 256x144 24 │ ~ 2.22MiB 117k m3u8 │ avc1.4D400C 117k video only 160 mp4 256x144 24 │ 557.38KiB 29k https │ avc1.4d400c 29k video only 144p, mp4_dash 603 mp4 256x144 24 │ ~ 3.02MiB 159k m3u8 │ vp09.00.11.08 159k video only 278 webm 256x144 24 │ 1.01MiB 53k https │ vp9 53k video only 144p, webm_dash 394 mp4 256x144 24 │ 719.46KiB 37k https │ av01.0.00M.08 37k video only 144p, mp4_dash 229 mp4 426x240 24 │ ~ 2.91MiB 154k m3u8 │ avc1.4D4015 154k video only 133 mp4 426x240 24 │ 878.88KiB 45k https │ avc1.4d4015 45k video only 240p, mp4_dash 604 mp4 426x240 24 │ ~ 3.82MiB 201k m3u8 │ vp09.00.20.08 201k video only 242 webm 426x240 24 │ 1.52MiB 80k https │ vp9 80k video only 240p, webm_dash 395 mp4 426x240 24 │ 863.61KiB 44k https │ av01.0.00M.08 44k video only 240p, mp4_dash 230 mp4 640x360 24 │ ~ 5.97MiB 315k m3u8 │ avc1.4D401E 315k video only 134 mp4 640x360 24 │ 1.57MiB 83k https │ avc1.4d401e 83k video only 360p, mp4_dash 18 mp4 640x360 24 2 │ 6.76MiB 356k https │ avc1.42001E mp4a.40.2 44k [en] 360p 605 mp4 640x360 24 │ ~ 8.82MiB 465k m3u8 │ vp09.00.21.08 465k video only 243 webm 640x360 24 │ 3.13MiB 165k https │ vp9 165k video only 360p, webm_dash 396 mp4 640x360 24 │ 1.64MiB 86k https │ av01.0.01M.08 86k video only 360p, mp4_dash 231 mp4 854x480 24 │ ~ 7.78MiB 410k m3u8 │ avc1.4D401E 410k video only 135 mp4 854x480 24 │ 2.46MiB 130k https │ avc1.4d401e 130k video only 480p, mp4_dash 606 mp4 854x480 24 │ ~ 13.39MiB 706k m3u8 │ vp09.00.30.08 706k video only 244 webm 854x480 24 │ 4.89MiB 258k https │ vp9 258k video only 480p, webm_dash 397 mp4 854x480 24 │ 3.09MiB 163k https │ av01.0.04M.08 163k video only 480p, mp4_dash 232 mp4 1280x720 24 │ ~ 13.41MiB 707k m3u8 │ avc1.4D401F 707k video only 136 mp4 1280x720 24 │ 4.74MiB 250k https │ avc1.4d401f 250k video only 720p, mp4_dash 609 mp4 1280x720 24 │ ~ 21.52MiB 1135k m3u8 │ vp09.00.31.08 1135k video only 247 webm 1280x720 24 │ 8.75MiB 462k https │ vp9 462k video only 720p, webm_dash 398 mp4 1280x720 24 │ 6.41MiB 338k https │ av01.0.05M.08 338k video only 720p, mp4_dash 270 mp4 1920x1080 24 │ ~ 57.36MiB 3026k m3u8 │ avc1.640028 3026k video only 137 mp4 1920x1080 24 │ 23.11MiB 1219k https │ avc1.640028 1219k video only 1080p, mp4_dash 614 mp4 1920x1080 24 │ ~ 37.89MiB 1999k m3u8 │ vp09.00.40.08 1999k video only 248 webm 1920x1080 24 │ 15.41MiB 813k https │ vp9 813k video only 1080p, webm_dash 399 mp4 1920x1080 24 │ 13.38MiB 706k https │ av01.0.08M.08 706k video only 1080p, mp4_dash 616 mp4 1920x1080 24 │ ~ 66.53MiB 3510k m3u8 │ vp09.00.40.08 3510k video only Premium
[/section] Huh, so not only is highest quality AV1 stream 399 supposedly 13.38MiB, much lower from 53.9MB that this e621 upload is, there is also VP9 Premium stream available that the uploader completely ignored (ignore filesize when the filesize has ~ as it's never even near that filesize with ~ instances).
