"While on a routine inspection tour of the facility, the power suddenly went out. The hallways were lit by the red-orange glow of emergency lights, still providing visibility to the darkened building. This was peculiar- the backup generators should have started operating within a few seconds of a power outage, but despite waiting and waiting- nothing happened. Being near the generator room, I went in to see if I could fix the problem. I'm sure others in the facility were about to do the same, though being deep in the basement levels it would take a while for them to come down. So, I went in by myself, and saw that this was not an ordinary issue with the generators. I found a certain someone in the room, an old acquaintance. I think it's safe to say I had found the reason for the outage."
