Little Reina and Kalina were happy, once.  Before they lost their parents in a tragic accident.  Before they were given over to their neglectful and abusive aunt's custody.  The woman would fail to feed the girls, often beating them if they didnt maintain her home for her.  But never overdoing it, so that Cub Protective Services wouldn't be tipped off and she could continue to collect the money from her late sister's estate.

A year of pain followed, before 9 year old Reina had finally had enough, and came up with a plan to escape their life.
