  "description": "<p>Well, last month I posted what was supposed to be a <a href=\"https://www.weasyl.com/%7Ealdin/submissions/2518794/got-skunked-original-short-story\">one-off tale</a>, five pages long and roughly 2K words. Well, the characters nagged at me and wanted more screen time so to speak. </p>\n\n<p>The result just in time for \"Skunktember\" is an expanded story with roughly 26K words over 56 pages. I'll be posting it one chapter a night for the next two weeks, except today as part 1 is more or less a lightly edited version of the original short story. So, you could skip chapter 1 if you've read the original. OR you could compare the two to see what I edited.</p>\n\n<p>Story was inspired after returning from annual fishing camp with my father and kid brother, though that trip turned out nothing like this story though my father and I took turns getting skunked playing cribbage several times while at fishing camp.</p>\n"
