  "writing": "The teacher supervising the sixth grade class was over at the table grading papers while the children played during recess, trying to catch up on all the work she had fallen behind on. A lone and small raccoon child was playing on the playground jungle gym, and running along the wooden bridge to head to his next destination. His hand me down overalls slightly sagged and rubbed along the wood and metal, while his glasses nearly fell off his face with his movement. He smiled and held them in place as he approached the slide. \n\nHe sat down, kept a tight grip on the temple of the glasses and slid down without a care. Cries of joy escaped him, as the twists and turns of the slide shoved him against the wall. As he got to the end, his arm bumped into the side, making him lose his grip on the spectacles. His head wobbled, and the pediatric lens flew out from the frame as the glasses smashed against the cylindrical plastic. \n\nThe paws of the raccoon flew first out of the slide and onto the rubber mulch, with the frames and loose lens in his lap, which soon hit the ground as well. With his eyes squinted, he began to feel around on the playground for his glasses. \n\nBut as soon as he got his hands on the lost lens, he heard a hard crunch. He brought the cracked glass up to his face, and looked through its web-like design, to see two eighth grade boys standing above him, with one of them tossing out broken spectacles from his hands. \n\n``Oops.'' Said the second biggest of the eighth graders, Zeke the ape. A bully of the raccoon ever since third grade, and the strongest kid there was in middle school. ``Sorry. Must have slipped between my fingers.'' \n\nThe boy next to him chuckled. ``Yeah. Slipped.'' Said Boulder the Rhino. The lad was appropriately named, as he was as big as a boulder, and just as smart as one too. \n\n``Oh, uh, yeah that uh, that tends to happen when you deliberately squeeze thin plastic.'' The raccoon said with a slight stammer in his voice. \n\n``Who you calling chicken?!'' Boulder replied with anger in his tone.\n\n``I... I didn't?'' The raccoon said. \n\nZeke smacked Boulder. ``He said `tend to', not `tender' you idiot.'' He then looked down at the raccoon. ``And what did I tell you about using long words in big phrase sayings?'' \n\n``That you can't comprehend them and that I-`` The raccoon was cut off as a large fist made contact with his cheeks. The small body fell swiftly to the ground with his head hitting the rubber mulch first. \n\nThe rhino and ape started to laugh as the raccoon squinted at the playground's floor. ``Let that be a teaching to you punk.'' Said Zeke. ``Idiots like you have no place in-`` A loud thud was heard as if someone had just slammed their body into a wooden door. \n\nThe raccoon fumbled around on the ground, attempting to sit himself upright. And as soon as he got to sit on his bushy little tail, he looked up to see what had happened. It didn't help that he couldn't quite see due to the lack of glasses, but he did notice sun was right behind the creature, creating a large silhouette towering over him. The outline of a hand was placed in front of his face. ``Need a hand there?'' \n\nWith a wince and repeated blinking, the raccoon grabbed the rather large hand and was yanked upright with ease till his paws touched the ground. ``Here ya go.'' Said the voice and the outline of a hand was placed in front of his face again. ``Looks like that darn fool done gone and broke the bridge of the glasses. Should be able to repair them with some tape.''\n\nThe raccoon reached for the spectacles and grabbed them, placing the good half on his face while holding the temple. The silhouette became clear, and the large bodied creature came to light. Standing over the raccoon was a large alligator who was in his grade. She had just moved to the school, and was only there for a couple of days. She was wearing overalls just like him, though hers looked more tight than baggy, and a white shirt underneath. ``Thank you.'' Said the raccoon with a soft smile. \n\n``No problem.'' Said the alligator. ``Those bullies had it coming picking on someone as small as you.'' \n\n``Uh, look, you're new here, but...'' The raccoon placed a hand on his shoulders. ``If you want to have a good reputation around here, you should probably make friends with someone else. I'm kind of... The loser of this school.'' \n\n``Only losers I see are these two knuckleheads who were picking on ya. If they want a real fight, I'll give `em one. No honor in picking on someone just cuz they be littler than you. Those cowards.'' \n\nThe raccoon could feel a tear building up behind his eye. ``Gosh you're awesome.'' He said with a smile. \n\nThe gator smiled back at him. ``And you're a little cutie.'' She extended her hand down to the raccoon that was barely half her size. ``Name's Sue. But my family calls me Snappy.'' \n\nThe raccoon extended his hand to the gator's hand that was thrice as big as his. ``My name's Theo, and I'm afraid I don't have a cool nickname like you.'' \n\n``You're funny.'' Sue said. ``I like you. You wanna be best friends?'' \n\nTheo's mouth went slightly agape. ``Wait, really?! You... You want to be friends, with me?!'' \n\n``Not just friends. Best friends. Yer a cute little feller.'' Theo felt his cheeks start to blush. But the bell began to ring. ``Shoot. Looks like recess is over. Hey Theo, I'm in Mrs. Bringlesbee's class. Where you at?'' \n\n``I'm with Mrs. Bleetfellow. I think we're in the same hallway.'' \n\n``Well Theo, it was fun chatting with ya. If these fools ever come near ya agin, just holler for me. And I'll give them a proper beatin.'' She pounded her fists together. \n\nTheo grinned. ``Awesome! Thank you Sue, oh, and uh, if you need any help with homework, just let me know!'' \n\n``Will do Theo. See ya at the lockers!'' \n\n``See ya!'' With that, the gator ran back to get in line for her homeroom teacher. Theo looked down at the ground where Boulder and Zeke lay, and looked for the lens he dropped when Zeke sucker punched him. Once he found the chipped glass, he looked down at the two bullies and stuck out his tongue. But they both started to groan as they were waking up from their beating, and Theo made a mad dash back to his teacher for class. \n\n - \n\nTheo was at his locker getting ready for his ninth grade chemistry class. He was at the bottom locker as his height never changed much since seventh grade, and as a result, couldn't reach the top locker. He grabbed his books and was getting ready to close his locker, only to let out a gasp felt someone grab him by his scruff, lifting him off the ground. It was the new kid from out of town. \n\n``Hey dweeb.'' Said the antelope. ``You're blocking me from being able to stand at my locker.'' He crunched his knuckles against the locker as he held the raccoon. \n\nMurmurs were heard, as other students started to stare. ``Oh he's in trouble.'' Some people whispered. \n\nThe antelope smirked. ``Looks like they already know your destiny.'' \n\nTheo gulped. ``Uh, sorry. Look, I didn't mean to block you. I promise it'll never happen-``\n\n``Fuck yeah it'll never happen again!'' The antelope said with a grin. \n\n``Oh he's a dead man.'' Some students said, making the antelope smile all the more. \n\n``Now, to make sure this never happens again, you're going to move to a different locker. Ya got it?'' \n\n``Um, well. Actually, this locker was assigned to me, so I don't really think I can-``\n\n``I said, you're going to move to another locker. GOT IT?!'' \n\nA sudden sound of something similar to that of someone trying to start a dead engine of a heavy duty vehicle echoed through the hallway. Some teeters and snickers were heard as the antelope kept his eyes on the raccoon. \n\nTheo looked at antelope as he saw what was making that sound. ``Uh, you might want to reconsider what you're doing. For your own safety.'' \n\n``Oh yeah?'' The antelope said. ``And why?s that, pipsqueak? HRLK?'' The antelope's windpipe experienced some blockage as a scaly hand was placed around his throat. He quickly let go of the raccoon and moved his hands to try and pry off the thick digits that gripped his esophagus. Before Theo hit the ground, he was swiftly grabbed out of the air by another scaly hand. \n\nThe antelope was turned around with his hooves being lifted off the ground, and became face to face with a large alligator baring her teeth to the bovid. ``You wanna reconsider those words you telling to my boyfriend?!'' \n\nThe antelope choked. ``Can't... Breathe...'' \n\n``Sorry what was that hun?'' Sue said as she lifted Theo to her shoulder. ``It sounded like you were trying to say `I'm sorry'. Is that correct?'' The antelope quickly nodded while proceeding to choke. ``Huh? Couldn't hear ya.'' \n\n``So-Ree.'' The antelope said while squeaking out the tiniest gasp for air. \n\n``That's what I thought.'' Sue released her grip around the dangling antelope's neck, and his body quickly plummeted to the floor. He quickly inhaled air as his damaged windpipes could finally take in oxygen. \n\nSue turned away from the now feral position antelope and looked at Theo on her shoulder. ``Hey hun. Did he harm you? Do I need to go back and break a bone of his?'' \n\nTheo smirked as the antelope cowered in fear. ``No you're good. Thank you though love.'' He leaned over and nuzzled her face and she nuzzled him back. A smile appeared on both of their faces while she began to purr like a cat. \n\n``SWAMPSON!'' Exclaimed a stern voice. The students around the hall swiftly scattered. \n\n``Aw damn it.'' Sue said as she tilted her head down. \n\nShe turned holding onto Theo to see an anteater dressed in a suit down the hall staring at her with pure anger in his eyes. ``THIS IS YOUR SECOND INCIDENT MISS SWAMPSON!'' \n\n``But principal Formicary, that antelope was about to punch Theo!'' Sue bellowed while holding onto the raccoon. ``He had him by the scruff!'' \n\nThe anteater huffed. ``Is this true mister Pocketpaw?'' \n\n``Yes principal Formicary. He picked me up off the ground and was seconds from hitting me.'' \n\nThe anteater sighed. ``Fine. Miss Swampson, you and mister Prongwell are to meet in my office immediately.'' \n\n``Aw man.'' Sue said. \n\n``Mister Pocketpaw, go to your class.'' \n\n``Yes sir.'' Theo held his arms up into the air and Sue grabbed him with one hand, lowering him to the ground. ``See ya at lunch Sue?'' \n\nThe alligator winked. ``See ya at lunch.'' A loud and obvious `ahem', cane from the principal. ``That is uh, if I'm not sent home early...'' \n\n - \n\nTheo climbed up onto the plastic chair of the mobile folding cafeteria table that was designed for larger animals. One hand was holding his lunch box while the other was grabbing at the furniture as if he was rock climbing. As he struggled, a scaly hand came down and picked him up, lifting him to the top of the table. ``You know you can always ask for help honey.'' Sue said as she opened up her sack lunch. \n\nTheo grinned as he sat down and placed his signature Manbat metal lunchbox on the table. He began to open it up and pull out some food. ``So did you get your letter?'' \n\n``Darn tootin'.'' Sue said with a grin. She reached into her pocket and pulled out an envelope from Redwood Burrow Technical College that almost looked comically small compared to her size. ``What about you?'' \n\nTheo grinned and reached into his lunch box and pulled out a letter as well. And even though the envelopes were the same size, his looked much larger. ``Wanna open them together?'' \n\n``You bet ya!'' Sue exaggerated her hand movement as she extended her pointer finger and began to slice open the letter, while Theo used his tooth. They pulled out the parchment and began to quickly scan over it. Both simultaneously lifted their eyes from the paper with big grins. \n\n``I got in!'' They said in unison. ``You got in?! Wooh!'' \n\nThe alligator reached down and picked up the raccoon, pulling him up to her cheek and smothering him. ``Oh Theo! You don't know how happy I am that-``\n\nA female cheetah walked by, seeing the empty letters on the table. ``Oh Theo!'' She said. ``Did you get into Redwood t-``\n\nSue turned her head and gave glare as her throat bellowed like an engine. Her teeth were bared, and lips looked like small waves in the ocean. \n\n``Eep!'' The cheetah said. ``Nevermind.'' And walked away. \n\nSue then went back to Theo and cuddled him with a smile. ``You don't know how happy I am that we are going to the same college together!'' After smothering the raccoon for another minute, she placed him back down onto the table, with hearts in her eyes as she looked him over. \n\n``It's going to be so awesome!'' Theo said as he grabbed his PB&J sandwich. ``Accounting degree here I come!'' \n\n``Man. I can't wait to finally get into welding. Gonna show my brothers what's what.'' Sue grabbed and chomped into her tuna salad sandwich. ``I guess next step is to look into rooming situations.'' She took another bite. \n\n``There were some uh...'' Theo cleared his throat and smiled with flushed cheeks. ``Co-ed, dorms. Right?'' \n\nAfter chewing the rest of her sandwich she grinned down at Theo. ``They better. Or else we're gonna need to find a new college.'' \n\nTheo laughed as he plucked a grape off of its stem. ``It's gonna be crazy being on the other side of the country.'' \n\n``Yup. It's a distance, but it'll aaaaaaaaall be worth it.'' \n\n``Man, now I can't wait for the final semester to be over. Then we'll be free!'' \n\nSue smiled. ``And I can't wait to do it all with you little buddy.'' \n\n - \n\nAfter a long week of studying and taking exams, and doing some welding projects, Theo and Sue decided to chill in their dorm room for the relaxing weekend to come. \n\nSue was lounging on the couch in her college dorm with one hand holding onto a bucket of popcorn, while the other dunked into it. She was wearing blue overalls with a cotton white shirt underneath, and a black bra barely peeking through the fabric. She turned to the tv and lightly ruffled the fur on his head. \n\n - \n\nTheo and Sue were hanging out at the arcade. He stood on a stepping stool while she hunched over to reach the controls of the arcade cabinet. Sue used her character Leo to rush over and start performing the game's version of CPR, by wafting a calzone over the fallen character. ``Zone zone zone zone zone!'' Both of them said in a chant as she timed the button to revive Theo. \n\nTheo's character came too, and they both dodge rolled out of the way of the boss?s incoming attack. \n\n``Theo!'' Sue exclaimed as she dodged some more. ``We have to do the combo!'' \n\n``What?!'' Theo bellowed. ``But I'm not consistent at landing the button sequence!'' \n\n``I believe in you! Come on! We can defeat Grater!'' \n\n``Okay!'' \n\n``Three!''\n\n``Two!''\n\n``One!''\n\n``Go!'' \n\nBoth began to input their buttons as quickly and properly as they could. And after a six button mashing sequence, both of the tortoises performed a visual feat so incredible, that even they wouldn't be able to describe it. \n\nThe tortoises stood over the defeated Grater after a combo so strong that it depleted his health bar. The text `You Won' appeared on the screen. \n\n``WOOOOOOOOOH!'' Sue screamed with a wide smile. ``We did iiiiiiiiit! And high score too baby! WOOH!'' She started to do a little dance of hers where she spun around in a circle. \n\nTheo looked up at his girlfriend who danced with glee. A smile crept along his face as a tear of joy escaped his eye. He reached into his pocket, and pulled out a metal box, as he knelt one knee down on the stool. \n\n``Yeah! We did it! We did it! Oh yeah yeah yeah! We-`` As she finished her third spin, she stopped as she caught sight of her boyfriend kneeling. He said with a shaky voice, smile, and quivering hands. ``There are, few words to which I can express my true feelings for you.'' These are but a few emotions that I feel when I'm around you. What colors do you like more?'' Sue asked as she flipped through a wedding planning book. The section she was on was a standard list of popular wedding colors. ``I think I'm really liking the peach and sage green.'' She looked down and saw the raccoon was fidgeting his fingers. ``What's wrong honey? Are you okay?'' \n\n``Huh?
