It's a personal story to me but I also know trans folks are not a monolith and an explanation can be helpful with sensitive topics like these. I am a trans man btw and wanted to make a character I felt a deep connection with ^^. I was initially afraid of how Marian would be interpreted but I decided to hope that he might be a character that others could relate to and enjoy as well!:\n\n[spoiler]The transformations in the Anthro League universe turn you into the 'truest version of yourself' and in Marian's case this means fully embracing himself as a trans man instead of wishing he was cis. Due to bullying/abuse, he had been wishing he was a cis man just to escape such treatment. The 'scars' are actually just markings to signify the road/journey Marian was on even if he had not transformed into a latias. Transforming into a latias instead of a latios was an important part of my decision here too.[/spoiler]\n\nI appreciate your question and hope this was a sufficient answer ^^",
