Why do you know me so much? And who are you really?”\n\nElder Drake: “Well, I am but an Elder, or more specifically, a Shadow Drake. Who has lived here at the place of your definition for some years.” \n\nElder Drake: “But I know you as I have known your reputation before you were freed from Malefors’ grasp.” \n\nCynder: “Wait… my place of my definition…?”\n\nElder Drake: “Turn… around….”\n\n\n*Cynder turns slowly to be horrified at what she sees. She is at the very place of her nightmares; her torment; her darkness; the place of her darkest birth; The Well of Souls. The one she had swore all her life to never see it; hear; or come back again. She is confused and terrified beyond what she could think.”\n\n\nCynder: “Why… Why did you bring me here!? Why did you bring me back to this awful place!?”\n\nElder Drake: “I didn’t bring you here. The nightmares you see.”\n\nCynder: “But why here? And how did you know where I was at?”\n\nElder Drake: One, I knew where you were from the shadows presence near you as I followed their eyes. Two, because it is where you must face what you seek not to.”\n\nCynder: “But I said I never wanted to see this place again! And I'm not staying to see it anymore. \n\n\n*Cynder proceeds to walk away and towards the fog*\n\n\n*Elder Drake: “You leave and you will be hunted down for all of your times.”\n\n\n*She stops*\n\n\nCynder: “Hunted by what? You?”\n\nElder Drake: “No, something that shadows fear themselves. The shadow of Nightmares, or known as the Nightmare Beast.”\n\nCynder: “Nightmare Beast…?”\n\nElder Drake: “A terrifying shadow creature who hunts down those who refuse to acknowledge their past and accept it.”\n\nElder Drake: “You leave through the fog, and it will hunt you down for all eternity.”\n\nCynder: “So… what I have no other choice then?”\n\nElder Drake: “It's your choice to leave, I am simply warning you of what will happen if you choose to leave.”\n\nCynder: “Literally saying that I have no choice then?”\n\nElder Drake: “If that's how you see it then sadly yes.”\n\nElder Drake: “There's no other way out of this without making it worse.”\n\nElder Drake: “Cynder as much I do not wish for you to suffer your past more, if you do not face what made you, will never find peace even after death.”\n\nCynder: “But I can’t just face the things that made me a monster!? What even are those shadows anyway?”\n\nElder Drake: “They are shadows of the past. They follow those who ignore what defines them to now to those who do not accept and acknowledge their past albeit being a traumatic part of their lives.”\n\nElder Drake: “They give you nightmares and make them worse for you more as you ignore where they will be to the point of hurting your head and mind. Ever so always angered by them.” \n\nCynder: “So I'm followed by shadows who are always angry at me for not accepting my past? I don’t want to remember it though, I don’t want to keep thinking about the horrible things that happened.”\n\n\n*Cynder begins tear and shakes as to what she says*\n\n\nElder Drake: “Cynder I understand that you don’t want to face them, but if you don’t face it you will suffer the same way Grendel has all of his years before.”\n\n\n*Cynder stops and slowly looks at him and is confused and slightly shocked.*\n\n\nCynder: “You know about… Grendel too?”\n\nElder Drake: “Yes, and the tragedy that happened to him when he was fourteen.”\n\nCynder: “I know that, but what does that have to do with me still?”\n\nElder Drake: “It's because he fought the Nightmare Beast. He fought it with aggression, trying to kill it. It proved no effort as it grew angrier to where the fight became more fierce. As he was battling it again and about to slay it again. He looked at its eyes as it reflected him.”\n\nElder Drake: “He dropped his axe, laying on the ground, pounding it with sorrow and anger. As he tearfully admits to why he can never let go of his past. The Nightmare beast approaches him, but not in anger, but in sorrow as well, as if it felt his pain.”\n\nElder Drake: As he continues to stare at the creature he finally realizes that he must accept and acknowledge what he sought not to. The hermit that was with him tells him that the process will not be easy, but it is a way to understand that he made his pain worse from his own ignorance of his past.”\n\nElder Drake: “To which he is now willingly to try but it will take time to do so. Starting now he would swear to make himself right again, and accept everything, even if it is harsh. The Nightmare Beast leaves, fading away into nowhere.”\n\nElder Drake: “Since then he has felt happier and more free than ever.”\n\nCynder: “But I'm really scared, seeing all those horrible memories again.”\n\nElder Drake: “The scariest things are the ones we fear to face. There is nothing wrong with it, but shutting it away will make things worse.”\n\nElder Drake: “Listen to me and understand. The shadows may seem evil, but in reality they are trying to help you, even if they do not seem like it. They feel your pain, and want you to face it, so you do not have to suffer anymore.”\n\nCynder: “But how can I know that I’m ready when… I’m so scared….”\n\n\n*The Elder pauses for a bit to think til he gives Cynder an ultimatum.” \n\n\nElder Drake: “Cynder listen closely. I am giving you a chance to prepare yourself to face your past. Either think and mentally prepare yourself for it to give yourself time, or leave, and never have the chance again.”\n\nElder Drake: “When you are ready, and absolutely sure you are certain you are ready. Call for me and I will take you to the foot of the mountain. To face your past.”\n\n\n*The Elder leaves into the small wilderness, as Cynder walks around the area, and thinks for some time to decide what to do. She goes to an area with a spirit crystal and looks at it, and looks at herself and asks what she must do. The Crystal begins to glow, and a glowing figure appears. One that is familiar to her and Spyro.”\n\n\n(Now for anyone wondering why I chose the Well of Souls as the place for her. I tried to look up to where she was corrupted at and I had no luck finding out where the place is. So I assumed it was the Well of souls that she was corrupted at, and I will keep it as it is in the story.)",

One that is familiar to her and Spyro.”\n\n\n(Now for anyone wondering why I chose the Well of Souls as the place for her. Or you just simply refuse what you do not want to acknowledge.”\n\nStranger: “That is what you continue to ignore and not accept.”\n\nCynder: “Because that's not who I am, and what I’ll never be! The shadows did. I merely transported you here with the fog.”\n\nCynder: “The shadows did?”\n\nElder Drake: “The one that you chased through the fog.”\n\nCynder: “I didn’t chase it, I ran when I saw a huge black creature!”\n\nElder Drake: “Well still, it brought you here, and for a reason that you know.”\n\nCynder: “What reason to be brought to this horrible place?”\n\nElder Drake: “Do you not think it is obvious, or you choose not to acknowledge it?”\n\nCynder: “My… my past?”\n\nElder Drake: “Yes, your very reason for the pain in your head.
