On Pie Day, March 14, 2025, I decided to do another food prep stream. To mark the day, I baked a pumpkin pie using a recipe that came from the deluxe edition re-issue of Paul McCartney's 1997 album Flaming Pie that came out in 2020. The deluxe edition comes with a \"making of\" book about Flaming Pie and includes a booklet with six pie recipes from Paul's late wife Linda McCartney. I like pumpkin pie, so I livestreamed myself making the pie on Twitch. The pie had to go in the oven for an hour, so to pass the time I cooked an improvised stew with some leftover ingredients from a meal I made the previous day. But when I decided to let the stew simmer for a few minutes, I decided to bring out my sketchbook and do a quick drawing on stream. I had no idea what to draw, so off the top of my head, I drew Domino trying to hold a flaming pie with Paul McCartney looking on with disapproval. While I had no references for Domino, I brought up a photo of Paul on my iPad that was probably taken when he released his 2020 album McCartney III for reference. Gee Domino, way to disappoint one of the Beatles! I might color this sketch of Domino and use it in thumbnails for whenever I do cooking streams in the future.
\n\nBTW this is how the pumpkin pie turned out. I think the dish I used was a little too deep, and I burned the crust too much. It still tasted good after I refrigerated it though.
