That meant many a first to explore, and lots of untouched beauty for far verdant stretches, no less wondrous down on ground than from high-up. As Doni's tail bobbed ahead of hir huge mount, mate, and transportation's thudding steps in the springy grasses, shi felt a nip to its fluff. Then a brump of head at hir spine.</em></p></div><div><br></div>\n<div><p><em>\"You are getting pushy again,\" Doni chuckled, arm lifting as the massive bark-colored bird-beak pushed between it and hir side. </em></p></div><div><br></div>\n<div><p><em>There was a rippling 'khrrrk' in Niko's throat, hir great violet eye fixed on hir. \"And you're getting to smell very nice,\" the horsebird's basso voice retorted.</em></p></div><div><br></div>\n<div><p><em>Doni's eyes rolled but shi couldn't hide the blush-heat in hir cheeks as great nares sniffed hir. \"Want to set down for now?\"<br><br>Hir steed's head bobbed.</em></p></div><div><br></div>\n<div><p><em>Doni's ears twitched at a subtle thumping noise, the blush heating further. \"A brief pause?\"</em></p></div><div><br></div>\n<div><p><em>Niko's great head tilted, both eyes fixed on hir like a hawk to a rabbit.</em></p></div><div><br></div>\n<div><p><em>The cacomistle's tailfur frizzled, hir grin growing at the familiar thrill-chill as shi began setting aside the backpack containing Niko's discarded, biped-form clothes. \"They will be expecting us back at the check-in and you looking your presentable nightvixen self.\"</em><br><em> </em><br><em>\"No search parties this soon.\" Hir beak parted, deep pink tonguetip flexing. Of myself and Doni, all alone on the road and without prying eyes while we explore my pendant, exhibiting the most natural means of pair-bonding in mount and rider (and hir means of appealing to a big willful-spirited horsebird with one of the most basic of rewards).
