Wings Of Fire's second arc is a good example of how it can go wrong; not only is its villain one of the most ridiculously OP bad guys in literature, to the point where the author had to pull a contrived deus ex machina out of her butt so that he could be defeated, but also one of the protagonists is an Animus too and he is honestly a rather boring one because the plot keeps finding excuses for him not to use his magic so it feels like he rarely gets to do anything.",
