She is my biggest supporter and most trusted friend.<br>\nThe kitchen tends to be the heart of an Italian home, and cooking an expression of our love. There was no better place or way to show our bond.</p>\n\n<p>The Heart of the Home<br>\nBy Snow the Bear</p>\n\n<p>They say the kitchen is the heart of the home.<br>\nBut to me is also the heart of a family.<br>\nIt’s where traditions are passed on, expanded and refined.<br>\nIt’s where I learned to craft a meal from my mother, and her sisters and their mother.<br>\nIt’s where meals are lovingly prepared – and where friends and family gather to share them.<br>\nIt’s where I learned life’s simple joys – the smell of baking bread, the sound of boiling soup, and the sight of a dish beautifully prepared.<br>\nSo while the kitchen is the heart of the home – it is also part of the family’s heart, and the hearts of those who live there.</p>\n\n<p>And of all the kitchens I’ve been in, I love my current one the most.<br>\nI still love those kitchens of my past, but unlike those that came before this is my kitchen, in my home, and an expansion to my family’s heart.</p>\n\n<p>Art by <a href=\"/~squelfland\" class=\"user-icon\"><img src=\"/~squelfland/avatar\" alt=\"\"> <span>Squelfland</span></a></p>\n"
