  "description": "This is a longer (about 13k), more story-centric commission for dear Askia. It's been long enough since I last wrote him in this setting that I took this as a chance to sorta do a soft-restart, & did my best to wrap in the background & such throughout this story so that it's standalone from the previous ones. The main themes are actually very similar to Ghost of a Rose, where it's about Askia getting roped into an arranged marriage with someone he neither likes nor really knows, and over time he ends up falling for them and accepting the arrangement. The difference here, though, is that the story starts right after the marriage - when Askia's got his bodyguard's massive horsedick hilted under his tail, and his attendant otter boy contributing as well...\n\nSo across the next few weeks, as by tradition they're in hyena lands for a full cycle of the moon, Askia starts to learn more about the culture of this neighboring land and this species group with which his (or, more properly, his father's) kingdom has been at war for generations. And seems like the people like him and his ideals quite a lot!
