"description": "Here's where the narrator's voice chimes in with \"He wasn't.\"\n\nI wrote this little story and a few subsequent ones several months ago, before I even started posting anything. This part is really a setup for an upcoming Lesson 2 more than anything, so if it seems a bit overly fluffy or lacking much conflict, that's kind of why. \n\nThe image of Tuxley sitting nervously before the lesson is one that I've been generating versions of for a long time. I go back to that prompt or a variation of it quite frequently to test new models and styles. In a strange coincidence, I was looking back through my old files before making this post, and the earliest versions of that prompt I have are from July 24, 2024, exactly one year ago.\n\nFor the Polaroid, I knew I wanted this to take place in late July, and for reasons I can no longer remember, I picked a Thursday, so I thought today's date (at least now in my timezone) would fit and be kind of neat. I was hesitant to commit to a year and considered smudging it or obscuring it, but in the end I left it 2025. Suffice it to say though that 2025 in Tuxley's reality may or may not line up exactly with 2025 in our world. I also couldn't decide if he looked a bit too smug or not in that image for the context, but I liked it best anyway. \n\nHope you like this one. It feels good to share after having written the story quite a while ago now.\n\nUntil next time!"
