"description": "An eventful day at Frontier HQ comes to a close, and with it, chapter 17! Catch the back cover of Issue No.8 too on https://worldofavania.com right now!\n\nGlad to finally finish this chapter, and the book as a whole...\nOwing largely to the unfortunate turn of events early last year, production of the comic (and art in general) has taken much longer than usual. For now, I hope you enjoy the new pages, and thank you for sticking with Avania!\n\nOh yeah, and I got a B'sky because why not, so follow me there if you want https://bsky.app/profile/tristikov.bsky.social\n\nAnd if you enjoy Avania, be sure to give it a vote on Top Webcomics and enjoy a special Spring wallpaper ft. Rhys O'Shaughnassy!\n\nYou can order the first six issues of Avania in full resolution digital format on Amazon, and high quality printed issues on IndyPlanet!\n\n\n***\n\nDrawn: 2025\n\nAnalysis:\nWrapping up this chapter, we have a fairly standard layout with a lot of medium / medium-close shots focusing on the character interactions and dialogue. Not the flashiest page, but pretty solid and lots to see with the increase in character count compared to the last two pages!\n\nIf I drew it again: \nOverall page is fine, but for specific panel art, I would redo Una's hand in panel 1 and her expression in panel 3. Hands are just tricky. Some awkwardness in her face is ok for the dialogue there, but I'm just not happy with how it turned out. The throwing/catching the clothes in panel 4 could probably also be better, but it doesn't bother me as much. Also I did my cliche wide shot for the closing panel once again... Not really bad thing I guess, it's just funny I've done it a number of times now.\n\nFavorite Panel:\nPanel one is kinda artsy with the focus on the interaction without showing Una's or Hans' faces, but allowing them to frame Role's reaction. Good composition, sub-optimal drawing as noted above though.\n\nPanel 5 is probably my overall favorite due to not really messing anything up, and still having a nice composition with the character depths, and novel word balloon placement economizing the use of space.\n\nRunner up 2 is panel 6, because even though it is a pretty standard single character medium close up, it also turned out well and I like Hans' faux salute against the greyscale sunset.\n\n\n\n***\n\nEnjoy my work? Fave, watch, and share! Avania grows with your help! As always, I welcome your questions, comments, and feedback!"
