At this point he's finally done relieving himself, but the damage has already been done. He continues to hang his head down staring at his lap and the giant puddle of shame he just created.</p>\n\n<p>While staring at the puddle, Fennix sees a reflection of what appears to be those two wolves standing next to him. Fennix remains frozen in place, hoping this is all just a bad dream, but it wasn't unfortunately.</p>\n\n<p>Werewolf: \"Ah, so it was you huh?\"</p>\n\n<p>A few seconds of silence passes. Fennix stays in place and starts to tremble again. He couldn't even get a word out to apologize or beg for his life. All of a sudden he feels a paw rest on the back of his head. For a brief moment Fennix thought this was the beginning of an attack, but the paw didn't move at all. Instead he feels a few gentle pats. The paw also felt as though it didn't belong to the werewolf due to the lack of sharp claws.</p>\n\n<p>Wolf: \"Hey, it's gonna be okay buddy. Relax. We're not gonna bite. It happens.\"</p>\n\n<p>Upon hearing that, Fennix finally eases up knowing the wolves won't be harming him. His trembling nearly comes to a complete stop and his heartrate gradually drops back to normal.</p>\n\n<p>Werewolf: \"I think you're gonna need this.\"</p>\n\n<p>Fennix slowly looks up to see the werewolf standing on the side of his seat, and the wolf behind his seat continuing to pat and scratch his head. He sees the werewolf holding what appears to be one of the curtains used for the bus windows.</p>\n\n<p>Werewolf: \"You can dry yourself off with that, or just wrap it around...you know. Don't worry. I'll sort things out with the bus driver soon.\"</p>\n\n<p>Fennix slowly takes the curtain and covers his lap with it. While the curtain may not be effective at drying like a regular towel, it can at least hide the huge wet spot on his suit for now. Now that most of Fennix's trembling has subsided, he's just able to speak again.</p>\n\n<p>Fennix: \"I'm...s-so sorry about all of this. I just...\"<br>\nWerewolf: \"Couldn't hold it? Yeah we can see that.\"<br>\nFennix: \"I was scared. You growled...I thought you were...um...\"<br>\nWerewolf: \"Gonna eat you alive?\" (chuckles) \"I was just trying to get your attention. Didn't mean to scare ya like that.\"<br>\nWolf: \"I told you not to growl.\"<br>\nWerewolf: \"Oh hush. Oh and I'm Dire by the way. And this headpats-loving goober behind you is Wendell.\"<br>\nFennix: \"...Fennix. And thanks...both of you.\"</p>\n\n<p>Wendell: (looks out the window) \"Looks like traffic's finally clearing up. Hey Fennix, um...if you want, you're welcome to come with us to our place, get yourself cleaned up, and we'll get your clothes washed too. You can even crash on the couch if it gets too late.\"</p>\n\n<p>Dire: (cracks knuckles) \"And I'll make sure no one around here bothers you on the way. It's up to you though.\"</p>\n\n<p>Fennix gives the offer some thought. He currently lives alone and doesn't have any plans for the next day. He also needs to clean himself up as soon as he can. And if the wolves leave him, he'll be left alone with the bus driver and will also have to walk home alone which will make his situation even more complicated. So this might be the perfect opportunity for him to make some new friends, get to know Dire and Wendell a bit better.</p>\n\n<p>Fennix: \"I...think that would be nice actually. Again thanks. You guys didn't have to do this.\"</p>\n\n<p>Dire: \"Not a problem at all.\"</p>\n\n<p>A few minutes later, the bus arrives at the next stop where the wolves usually get off.</p>\n\n<p>Wendell: \"Finally! Sorry but I really, really have to pee. I'll be right back. Excuse me...\"<br>\nDire: (blocks Wendell's path) \"Nuh uh, not so fast. You stay here while I go have a talk with the driver. And don't forget our new friend here needs a long shower first. Then you can go afterwards.\"<br>\nWendell: \"Oh, come on! Please?! Ugh, fine...I can wait.\"<br>\nDire: \"Good boy.\"<br>\nWendell: (whimper)</p>\n\n<p>Fennix (thoughts): \"Huh? I would've bolted for the exit if I was that wolf. Or does he actually...want to keep holding it all in? That's strange. Oh well, let's see how the rest of the night goes.
