I wanted to do something I’ve not done before, and having been in the fandom for so long and drawn a lot of birthday art that was…easier said than done.\n\nBut then that got me thinking. My love for Rayman has really evolved from being able to draw him, and that’s a skill I’ve developed over these LONG years (AI could never!) It’s been cool to finally find a way of drawing this weird eggplant of a man in a way I’m happy with; a skill that all fandoms can agree comes from the desire to get ideas on paper.\n\nAm I the best Rayman fan artist? Not even by a long shot. There are so many young talented creatives in the fandom now, people half my age, with talents that blow my current skills out of the water.\n\nAnd that’s awesome!\n\nI’m so glad I stuck with drawing this doofy man and his friends and my own OC’s all these years. I’m so glad I didn’t give up. I’m so glad the talented and brilliant people in this fandom inspired me to keep going. I hope all the creatives and artists in this fandom keep drawing him for the next 30 years! I can’t WAIT to see the new energy evolving out of this weird little fanbase for a weird little guy.
