Living creatures do not stand rooted to the spot or like robots, they are constantly moving, distributing their body weight to their feet (so as not to fall). The movements must be smooth, for this there are special settings in the movement graph. Don't be afraid to experiment with movements. Even if a character has artifacts due to some movement, they can be fixed.  It seems that in order for the character to move while standing, you can try to add noise to the movement, but do not overdo it with the settings, otherwise the character will turn into a construction vibrator (the one used to remove air bubbles from concrete).
