Let's gooooooo\nYou may be wondering why the fire is blue. A few years ago I saw [url=https://imgur.com/awesome-mIHAbgm]this post[/url], and since then, the idea of a scientifically accurate blue hell was living rent-free in my head. I wanted to avoid as many hellish/demonic cliches as possible, while still making it clear that skullboi is a demon, and having his crib not fire-colored just scrome at me as a necessity. Also, the fire is a cheap volumetric effect that's probably older than some of y'all, and while it doesn't look exactly like real fire, it makes the right impression without the hassle and time it takes to set up, run, and render simulated fire.\n\nIt's also back to basics with this piece, as everything* in this background is procedurally modeled and textured, just like I used to make things!\n*One slight exception would be the torches, which I modeled by starting out with a lathed spline, then doing a lil manual modeling. But the surface details and materials are fully procedural. :)\n\nOh, and if that pose seems sorta familiar, that's because you visit the Cloud District often. Fun fact: at more than one point while working on this, I found myself sitting exactly like that, and it turns out I do that a lot lmao\n\nI'm also still deciding whether he ever sheaths that cannon or not.
