It is the second to feature a character from something I hadn't drawn for a demoparty after Deadline 2024's \"Circus of Dreams\", and this time around, it's the surfing raccoon from \"Wavecatcher\". I had originally intended to draw her surfing through cyberspace in that piece, but owing to how it developed, it didn't turn out that way. For this one, I gave it another go, and this time, I had a solid idea of how to go about it and succeeded.
\n\n
Of course, that might have something to do with the time I took to draw it... as in how little of it I took. You see, owing to life events, I ended up not having the time, energy and opportunity to draw anything for Inércia 2024 until mere hours before the submission deadline for its compos and showcases. Knowing how quickly I was capable of doing art, having surprised a friend on Bluesky with a picture I did in just over an hour, I threw myself into doing a piece for Inércia's showcase and sending it in before it was too late. I finished it overnight in a little over two hours and dropped it into the submission system less than two hours before the deadline.
\n\n
Thankfully, I made it into the graphics showcase that day, and this piece received quite the round of applause from the appreciative crowd in Portugal. I'm glad I was able to make it regardless of the circumstances, and I thank Inércia and all those who attended for their patronage!
\n"
