  "writing": "[center][t][b]Temple Exploration[/b][/t][/center]\n\n\nIn the fantasy land of Eurasia, animals had formed a society. Prey and predators came together, and built medieval towns and cities, speaking a common language. Predator still ate meat of course, but this society still thrived thanks to what some believed to be divine intervention : meat apples.\n\nNobody knows where the trees bearing these fruits came from, but they were all around the land, and could sustain predators species without them needing to spill the blood of preys.\n\nOn paper, this was an utopia, a perfect society where predators and preys were equal. But Uric knew better. He was a beige rat with big dreams, but his small size made it difficult to accomplish anything alone.\n\nHe wanted to be an archaeologist, to explore forgotten ruins of the Old World. Someone who could bring relic and artifacts from the abandoned temples that plagued the land. He had studied his entire life, learned to translate the Old Languages. And yet, the best he could do was stand at his stall in the town he was born in and never left. \n\nIt was a Relic Trading and Analysis shop. Clients came with artifacts, and his job was to analyze them, translate Old maps found in chests, and other things that he wished he could go and do himself.\n\nBut he wasn’t stupid. He knew stepping out of town was dangerous enough for a rat, but worst still going into abandoned Temples filled with traps and sometimes even monsters. It was the way of the world : predators got to have fun and explore the world while most preys stayed in towns or moved in groups.\n\nBut Uric stayed hopeful – the mindsets were changing. More preys of all sizes were starting to join parties of explorers, and the Exploration Guild was very careful about it too, as in the Old Days of Eurasia’s Foundation, there had been some incidents of preys mysteriously going “missing” after joining a party of predator.\n\nSuch things were of the past, and Uric hoped that one day, he too could join an Exploration Party. \nWell, he wouldn’t have to wait for long! As he stared in front of him lost in thoughts, a male fox came to his stall. He was a bit small compared to others of his kin, and his face made him look young and clumsy. \n- Um, hi!! This is the Relic store right?\n- Indeed it is, what can I do for you little one?\n- H-hey, I’ll have you known I’m an adult, and bigger than you!\n\nThe young fox then grimaced while sticking his tongue out, a proof of his immaturity despite his claims. Uric just smiled and looked into the fox’s eyes, which made the canine a bit nervous.\n- So, uh! How much to translate this stuff ?\nThe fox then grabbed some papers with his mouth from a bag on his side, something almost all quadrupedal animals seemed to have these days.\n\nUric took a good look at the papers. There was a map, and on it were some drawings and letters scribbled awkwardly. \nThe letters were in one of the Old Language Uric had learned, so he was quickly able to know what this was all about.\n“Oh, a map to an Einkeis Temple?” he said thinking out loud. “I can translate what’s written, but…”\nHe looked at the young fox with dubious eyes. “So first off, it’s going to be 12 silver coins, and secondly, I can’t really give you a good translation, because whoever wrote this only wrote half the words, and some letters are super badly scribbled.”\n\nThe fox grabbed money from the pouch on his other side, dropping it on the rat’s stall, with one coin awkwardly rolling away from it. “W-well, I’d like to see you try writing these weird symbols without opposable thumbs! In any case, my sister said that even if it can’t be translated it into something coherent, it should be good enough to know the words.”\n\nUric counted his coins, and started working on making a useful translation. After a few minutes of deep thinking and rubbing his paws with his whiskers, the rat spoke again:\n- Well, your sister is smart to translate these before entering the Temple. I’m guessing it was at the entrance ?\n- It was, why ?\n- These are basically riddles that lead you to other riddles within the temple. If you get all the riddles correct, it’ll lead you to the right path toward a treasure. If you get one wrong…\n- ..Traps ?\n- Correction: lethal traps. Einkeis temples don’t fool around. I unfortunately can’t translate the actual riddles, you’ll have to bring someone over there that can.. write more accurately.\n- But that’ll take foreverrrr... Plus we’d have to come back everytime we see a riddle! Why don’t you just come with us ?\n\nUric paused. He did not expect such an offer out of the blue. He’s been looking at artifacts his whole life, and now he had an opportunity to go and see for himself? But Uric was smart. Going with this fox.. was dangerous. Not because he thought he wasn’t trustworthy, Uric’s issue was that this client seemed a bit too clumsy to follow in such a dangerous place, even with Uric to guide him.\n\nThe fox then seemed to remember something.\n- Oh, uh sorry, I’ll have to ask my sister if she’s okay with you coming first!\n- Right, you said you have a sister ? How experienced is she ?\n- She taught me everything I know! She’s older and smarter than me, she was the one to find the Temple.\n\nThe fox then picked his papers and put them back in his bag.\n“I’ll be back in an hour!” he declared, before heading out trotting. \n\nDuring this hour, Uric pondered if this dream of his was worth the risk. Given that he had tried before to join an Exploration Team, but was refused because he was “too much a burden”, and that other Exploration Teams didn’t inspire him trust, he kind of had given up a bit on the idea for the time being. But now, he had a new opportunity, and if he played his cards right, he could even get money for it too!\n\nThe fox eventually came back, accompanied by his bigger and more imposing sister. Although she shared a lot of feature with her brother, her personality seemed a lot more different. Unlike her clumsy brother, she seemed far more graceful, but also more distant and cold.\nShe introduced herself as June, also revealing her little brother’s name to be Sunny, and told Uric about their upcoming exploration.\n“I hope my brother’s personality didn’t scare you too much out of the idea of coming with us. I know he’s a bit clumsy, but I always make sure he’s safe. And that will include you, if you come with us.” explained June. \nUric wanted to accept right away, but he knew better: “How much would I be paid?”\nThat was the tricky question. If the offer was too good, like 50% of the treasures found, he would refuse. He knew better than that.\n“5%”, replied the fox immediately.\nOkay, so too low offers were also not great, thought Uric. It’s realistic, but at the same, he’s doesn’t want to go into a dangerous place and leave the comfort of the city without a good reason.\n“That’s a bit too low for me. I’m putting my life at risk coming with you guys. How about 20% ?”\nThe vixen stared at him. Then she closed her eyes and looked up, lost in thoughts.\n“… I guess you make a point. However, I could ask any other translator to come with us. We found the Temple, and we’ll be the ones carrying you there, so it’s only fair me and my brother get the biggest part of it. I won’t go over 15%.”\nUric pondered for only a few seconds before accepting. Meanwhile Sunny was staring at some butterfly flying in circle.\n\nAll things considered, this was a good deal for Uric. However…\n\n“What do you mean you don’t want to make a formal Exploration Party at the Guild?” asked Uric in confusion to June.\n“They're just greedy parasites that will take 30% of everything we find in the temple as fee! We don't need them.” said June in frustration.\n\n“I, uh.. I get what you mean, but the guild is also there to send rescue if we go missing and to hold people accountable when things go wrong... It’s for Safety”\nJune lowered her head, thinking. She looked at her brother, who looked bored having nothing else to look at after the butterfly flew away. Then it seemed an idea came to her mind.\n\n“How about this: we don't register at the guild, but, in exchange, I hire a bird scout to go with us. So if something happens they can carry you and fly back to the city. How does that sound?”\n\nUric thought about this offer. While he would greatly prefer to register to the Guild for safety just in case something happened to him, knowing he was coming with another prey that could quickly get him to safety was also reassuring.\n\nAnd so, after considering the dangers and potential rewards, Uric made up his mind and agreed to the deal. They decided they would all meet up at his stall tomorrow morning before heading out, and the rodent closed his shop for the day to prepare to the trip.\n\n\n\nThe night came, and Uric could barely sleep with the excitement. His little worries had seemingly vanished and were replaced by the wonders of his dreams coming true. He was so excited that he ended up masturbating imagining himself coming back with great treasure and flauting his wealth and success as an explorer among his rat peers. What a nerd, is what his peers would think of him if they saw him right now jerking off and fingering his asshole over such fantasies. Uric ended up ejaculating on an old map he was using as carpet in his room, tainting it white forever. \nHe finally fell asleep right after that, surely dreaming of his fantasies.\n\n\nWhen the day came, he was eagerly waiting at his stall, until June and Sunny arrived, with a yellow naped parrot perched on the young fox’s head. She had green feathers and a seemingly bright energy.\n\n- So this is the important mouse that can translate stuff? Nice to meet ya dude, name’s Elvia!\n- And my name is Uric, and actually I’m a rat. I take it you were briefed on your role?\n- Sure was, my guy, I’m a pretty strong gal so I could carry both you and your big ass rat balls back to town if needed!\nUric blushed at that statement. Like most male rats, his body to balls ratio was pretty noticeable. They weren’t so big that it was a bother, but someone walking behind him would have an excellent view on his rodent nuts.\n\nJune brought the subject back to business, offering to carry Uric on her back, similarly to how Sunny was carrying the hotheaded bird, who got along fine with the young fox.\n\nThey walked out of the city, and Uric was in awe of what the outside was like. He was born and raised inside the city and had never left it, so this was all new to him. Of course, it’s not like he didn’t know what the outside was like, but it was far different to experience it rather than to hear and read about it.\nThe destination was a few hours of walk away, so the group had plenty of time to walk, except June, who didn’t say much. Uric ended up connecting a lot with Elvia, and he thought that their meeting could be a great opportunity for future travels, given that she could carry Uric places if needed.\nHe also thought that she looked pretty, and couldn’t help to fantasize about fucking her in between conversations.\n\nAfter a several hours of walking (well, for the foxes at least), the group reached the entrance to a very small cave.\n\n“That’s the temple?” asked the disappointed parrot in confusion.\nSure enough, the entrance didn’t have any glamour to it. The ground was muddy, and the walls were brown like common dirt, nothing impressive so far..\n\nUnless you know where to look: Sunny smiled, and proudly entered the seemingly uninteresting cave, then pushed a wooden plate so dirty that it looked as brown as the dirt walls.\nBehind it, a secret passage revealed stone stairs descending into a big room.\n\nThe entire group entered, and here there were, at the real entrance of the Temple. Uric immediately jumped from June’s back, and started to read the inscription at the top of the door.\nMeanwhile, Elvia flew from Sunny’s back in front of June.\n“Hey boss, do you mind if I wait here while you guys explore? I wasn’t really aware it was so tight underground, I’m going to be pretty useless here. Hard to fly in a cave, y’know”\n“Well, I don’t mind, but you’re going to have to ask Uric. I brought you here for his safety after all”\nBut Uric was far too busy solving the riddle, lost in his own little world. Then he suddenly turned back, happily declaring “I got it!”\n\nHe then started to explain the origin of the temple, who built it and what kind of treasure it holds, the last part far more interesting to the foxes than the history lesson accompanying it. Uric also talked about the traps, saying he knew where to go from here to avoid them, and that there were two more riddles to solve to get to the treasure.\n\nThis made everybody else thrilled, as they all had to gain from it. In the excitement, Uric agreed to let Elvia stay here, thinking it was actually safer to not all go inside it at once in case they all fell in a trap or something.\n\nThe canine siblings and the rodent walked deeper in the Temple, Uric barely containing his excitement upon seeing so many interesting things. He had to hold himself otherwise he was sure they would have to spend the night inside the Temple if he looked at every wall and relics along the way.\n\nEventually, by carefully following the path set by Uric, they arrived at the second riddle. Once again, the rodent got back to business, and started translating. This one wasn’t just about picking the right path, there was also a mechanism to activate with some levers on the wall to disable the traps of the next corridor before proceeding.\n\nAs a matter of fact, they could all see a bit further the corpse of what looked like to be a cat.. and several meters away, what seemed to be it’s severed head. Clearly this explorer came before them but failed to disable the traps, and must have met a gruesome end...\n\nJune assured everyone she would be the first to go first, not wanting to risk the life of her brother. Sunny looked a bit worried, but Uric reassured everyone, stating he would find the correct answer.\n\nAfter after a dozen minutes of translating and observing the room, he seemed to have gotten to a conclusion.\n“This puzzle is broken” he declared, to the surprise and disappointment of everyone.\n“But I can fix it!” he proudly added.\n\nSunny and June looked at one another, confused. But Uric explained to them that apparently, a previous explorer must have come to this room, read the inscriptions on the wall, and solved the riddle, using the correct lever to disable the traps. Except it didn’t.\n\nThanks to this previous explorer, they knew the mechanism that disable the traps must be broken.\n\n“But how would you you fix it?” inquired June, curious about the rodent’s expertise. \nUric simply smiled, climbed on the wall with the triggered lever and… entered it. The lever was actually a tube! For once, Uric was quite happy about his small rat body. This gave him access to the behind the scenes of the mechanism, and thankfully the solution was pretty simple. \n\nThere was a rock blocking a gear. He took a small stick and pushed it out.. *CLICK*\nThen the ground shook a bit and he heard Sunny gasp in surprise. “You did it Uric!”\nUric climbed back from the lever, and discovered that the traps were no longer hidden, clearly visible and easily avoidable.\n\nSunny started trotting forward, but his sister sternly stopped him, glaring at him for his over eagerness. She then carefully stepped in front, making sure the corridor was actually cleared.\nShe moved elegantly, calculating each step, before reaching the end. She inspected once more and gave her brother an ok sign.\n\nUric climbed on the young fox’s back and Sunny followed as best each step of her sister, who was watching him with anticipation, waiting to jump at the slightest danger.\n\nMeanwhile, Uric managed to get a good look at the headless cat body they saw from afar. It was a very old body, completely mummified with time, yet somehow neatly preserved. In fact it was so well preserved Uric noticed a rather morbid detail, which allowed him to identify the gender of this cat – it was a male, and he died fully erect, his penis as visible as his bigger than average balls. And looking at the ground under it, he must have died leaking.. something.\n\nNot wanting to be caught looking at a corpse’s junk, Uric, focused his attention back to the rest of the room. There was an horizontal opening in the ground right in front of the corpse, with a thin blade coming out of it, showing that the trap was now disabled. The cat explorer must have walked on a pressure plate, triggering the then hidden blade to come up and slicing the poor explorer’s head off. It would have been confusing death for him, as he had successfully gotten the right answer to the riddle, yet due to a mechanical problem it wasn’t registered.\n\nSunny continued walking, not paying attention at all to the body, too focused on following his sister’s footstep. He eventually stepped past the severed head, which seemed to have rolled a bit before stopping, directly facing it’s own corpse.\nUric couldn’t help but feel a bit sad at the thought of this explorer watching it’s own headless body before dying.\n\nShaking his head to move on from this macabre thought, Uric focused back on the exploration. This time June was leading them, as she had started to understand the pattern of the Temple following Uric after the first riddle. Uric was rather impressed with her. Despite her cold personality, she was professional and a good leader. She also took great care to make sure everybody was safe. Well, especially her brother.\n\n- Hey Sunny, your sister is pretty awesome at this. How long have you guys been exploring Temples?\n- Well, my sister has been doing it for years, but this is my third one!\n- Oh really? I guess she didn’t want to bring you in dangerous places when you were younger?\n- Yeah, but it’s a bit more complicated.. Our parents were part of a cult and authoritarians, so we weren’t allowed to do anything fun when we were younger. So June ran off as soon as she could, but she came back for me when I became adult a few months ago. And she’s been showing me all the fun we’ve been missing out of the world since then! Like exploring temples, or matin- *SLAP*\nJune suddenly slapped her younger brother, managing to shut him up before finishing his sentence, although Uric had heard enough.\n\nHowever the rodent didn’t think he was serious and took at as a bad joke from the young fox. Except Sunny was dead serious. He did have sex with his sister. And not just once.\n\nThe fox siblings had both been raised in a sheltered cult that was all about not “sinning”. Obviously, it sucked for them to not be able to do anything fun, and after June came back to free her brother from his abusive parents, he started to ask a lot of questions about what the outside world was actually like.\nIncluding the sex questions. And since he didn’t know what incest was, or that it was wrong, he just straight up asked to fuck her. \nShe did know that Incest was wrong, but much like her brother, she had a warped view of the world due to her isolation growing up. So she accepted, and they’ve kept doing it since.\n\nIn any case, Uric didn’t suspect a thing, even as June was blushing heavily.\n\nThey quickly reached the last riddle – a door with ten levers. Uric did what he does best: translate. And he was quickly able to figure out the answer. If he thought June was smart, he may have been under estimating his own intellect: it would have taken others far more time to translate these riddles and to have something coherent enough to solve them too.\n\nIt’s not that the riddles were hard, but the translation itself was pretty rather contextual, and it didn’t help that half the letters and words were missing.\n\nIn this case, it also didn’t help that something important was missing as well. Uric knew the fourth lever was the right one, however, when he reached to enable the lever.. *SWISHH* *SPLINKK*\n\nSomething hit him rather violently, and he tumbled back and forth until hitting a wall.
